Iron County is accepting resumes for a contract position as a Deputy County Attorney over Justice Court cases in the Iron County Justice Court. Iron County is seeking to fill a vacancy for a 1-year contract. The Attorney's Office and Court Offices are located in Cedar City, Utah.
The annual contracted amount is $70,000.00 and includes the use of an office assistant and office space provided by the County. No other benefits or compensation are included in the contract price.
Attorneys are expected to fulfill their service and not allow other work to interfere with professional duties under the contract. The selected attorney will be required to physically appear at least weekly in Justice Court and provide quality legal representation on behalf of the Iron County Attorney's Office at all stages of a criminal proceeding, from the initial filing of the case to resolution, as well as post-conviction matters such as orders to show cause, restitution hearings, and appeals.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: All applicants must have a law degree from an accredited law school, be an attorney in good standing, currently licensed to practice law in the State of Utah and have at least two (2) years of experience practicing in criminal law.

· Provide a statement that you are licensed, in good standing with the Utah State Bar and that you have no formal or informal disciplinary action pending by the Utah State Bar or any other State now or within the last five (5) years
