  DESCRIPTION OF WORK

  This position will prepare for a Civil Engineer position by completing a 12-month civil engineering training program. The work performed during this training period will develop practical proficiency in the use of engineering knowledge, skills, and abilities in a bridge engineering, transportation engineering, and/or soils engineering environment. This position could be permanently assigned in either Design, Construction, or Maintenance.

  Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  Full-time employment.Work hours are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.*Telework: *You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Dunmore. Telework eligibility will be limited during the probationary period.Salary:* *In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

  QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  Four years of civil engineering experience, and an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists; orA bachelor's degree in civil engineering, or in a closely related field, which includes or was supplemented by major course work in civil engineering; orAn equivalent combination of experience and training which includes possession of an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists.Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within six months of graduating with a qualifying degree.Other Requirements:
