WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
The Continuous Improvement Manager will be responsible for driving the Crane Business System (CBS) in Mt. Prospect. The CBS will coach, lead, and facilitate the continuous improvement program using the CBS philosophy, t5raining, and tools to drive exceptional improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Growth aligned with the businesses overarching strategic goals.
This role will have direct impact on out site and will be responsible for:
Working with leadership to facilitate the development of future state value stream maps that support the strategic priorities of the business
Developing the continuous improvement roadmap (CI) that defines the Kaizen events and projects that will move the site to the ideal future state
Facilitating, leading, and driving Kaizen events to address objectives identified in the value stream maps
Leading the CI roadmap reviews and assist team leaders with Kaizen preparation and consultation
Promoting CBS and assist in developing and improving CBS knowledge at the Mt. Prospect site
Conducting audits on completed Kaizen events and projects to assure implementation and sustainability of the stated objectives
Providing training and management of the certification process to assure self-sufficiency and sustainability of the CBS tools at the MTP site
Coaching, mentoring, and guiding the leadership and organization through the principles of CBS, constantly reinforcing the fundamentals of CBS

Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Administration required
3 years in Development of Operational Excellence (Continuous Improvement Tools)
5 years in Implementation of Continuous Improvement Systems and Tools
5 years of leading events/improvement efforts globally
Advanced data analysis, project planning, organization, and problem-solving skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills to include presentation and facilitation of groups toward deliverables
Six-Sigma greenbelt or blackbelt preferred
High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-dayactivities
Ability to establish credibility, be decisive and able to recognize the organization's preferences and priorities
Desirable Knowledge: Handling of Lean and Kaizen Tools, Six Sigma Methodology (DMAIC), Manufacturing processes of electronic assemblies, Elaboration of capacity analysis, analysis of Bottlenecks and methods for Line Balancing, Material supply systems (KANBAN), Knowledge of ergonomics, Preparation and Modification of Layouts, Project Management
Up to 20% travel with occasional international travel (5%)
