  Description

Do you see compliance as a business enabler? Do you have a passion for cutting-edge technologies and complex problem solving? Do you enjoy building innovative compliance solutions?

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for an experienced Global Expansion Manager to drive compliance solutions and strategic trade projects in support of AWS's expanding global businesses. As a compliance leader in a fast-paced environment, you will leverage your import/export knowledge, regulatory and product compliance knowledge to translate complex issues into opportunities. Alongside our growing team, you will use a combination of subject matter expertise, business acumen and program management skills to think outside the box, influence process controls and lead programs to deliver successful, sustainable deployments.

The Compliance Solutions Manager within the Global Trade and Product Compliance (GTPC) Strategy team is responsible for defining and implementing projects to support GTPC’s cross-border compliance approach in response to emerging compliance needs across AWS, with a focus on cross-border compliance. They lead definition, implementation and adoption of new cross-border controls including identifying opportunities to enhance scale and improve compliance, both through ad hoc engagements and longer-term strategic projects. Where they identify opportunities, they act as the single threaded leader responsible for engaging back with subject matter experts, cross-team partners and technical teams to deliver successful outcomes. They do this by successfully balancing the complexity of global customs requirements with simple, innovative processes that scale. This role will include interacting with and influencing a variety of internal and external stakeholders including Technology Teams, Compliance Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain, Legal, Tax, Public Policy and other partners.

AWS is at the forefront of providing a broad set of global cloud-based services including compute, storage, databases, networking, analytics, deep Machine learning, robotics, and enterprise applications, to help organizations move faster, lower IT costs, and scale. This is a dynamic business within Amazon.com , and one of the world’s fastest growing and evolving companies, with a team of exceptionally talented, bright and driven people. This position will report to the Manager, Customs Strategy and Policy in the Global Trade and Product Compliance ('GTPC') function. This requires a balance of compliance requirements against business costs, supply chain strategy, delivery timelines, and legal risks.

Where bottlenecks and barriers occur, the launch manager effectively escalates issues, both internally to GTPC as well as externally to partner teams, to unblock barriers and ensure program success

Develop and oversee change management and continuous process improvement
