MaximHealthcare Staffing is seeking a Cardiovascular Tech to participate in a variety ofspecialized technical evaluation procedures, including analyzing digitizedelectrocardiography (ECG) tapes, Holter monitoring, cardiac ultrasound andechocardiography, and generating quantitative arrhythmia reports; participatein a variety of patient care activities to include monitor application andpatient instruction; provide direction and review the work of lower levelemployees.
four 10 hour shifts (6:30a-5p)
$55/hr.
EssentialDuties and Responsibilities:
Explainsprocedure to patient and carries out procedure under the direction of a physician
Observesheart activity and monitors test results for abnormal patterns.
Usesknowledge of cardiac function patterns to evaluate results observed.
May participate in analyzingdigitized information from pre-recorded ambulatory ECG's tapes usingspecialized software; edit information and generate quantitative arrhythmiareports for physician review;
Analyzescomplex tapes ands provide direction to other Holter Analysts as needed.
Makes preliminaryanalysis and interpretation of test results for physician review, study anddiagnosis.
Demonstratesthe knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient.
Ability to apply and remove Holtermonitors to both in-patients and out-patients. Explain procedures including,but not limited to, equipment usage, the patient's responsibility for keeping adiary/record and the use of event monitors and data transmittal as needed.
Cleans equipmentand may perform preventative maintenance after each use; reports anymalfunctions immediately.
Mayschedule patient procedures and maintain schedule system as needed.
Sets up patientroom and maintains stock area for procedures including linens, electrodes, andcassette tapes; order supplies as necessary.
Adheres toall Maxim and worksite rules, policies and procedures
Otherduties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
Associates Degree inCardiovascular Technology or Health Science preferred.
One(1) year of experience in performing cardiovascular tests preferred.
Successfulcompletion of Company testingprocess.
Currentphysical exam, if required by state regulations or contract specifications.
CurrentTB test or chest x-ray.
Current BLS card per staterequirement or contract requirement.
