　　The Business Unit Manager (BUM) is responsible for all marketing and sales activities for a designated area of responsibility or a therapeutic area, to achieve the business objectives within business policies and guidelines as well as departmental budget.

　　The BUM role is responsible for the short- and long-term planning and provides input for business and strategic planning. The role has an overall responsibility for sales and marketing personnel and the BU structure. The role has a significant degree of impact for the company’s business results.

　　This job is NOT eligible for sales incentives.

　　Essential duties and responsibilities:

　　Manages and oversees marketing and sales activities of BU

　　Develops short- and long-term strategy and plans (business/ strategic) for brands of responsibility

　　Coaches and motivates subordinates and BU personnel

　　Oversees and guides implementation of marketing and sales plans to achieve business objectives

　　Is responsible for implementation of policies and guidelines from BU personnel

　　Is responsible for developing competencies and capabilities of direct reports

　　Is responsible for application of all HR processes including performance management, compensation, talent management, succession planning and recruiting

　　Provides input and shares responsibility for company strategy and company image

　　Encourages and follows up on customer programs and innovative propositions to increase customer loyalty

　　Plans for new products / new markets assessing opportunities

　　Leads business growth of area of responsibility contributing to company success

　　Builds and maintains business relationships with KOLs

　　Keeps self updated on market developments on local and global level to identify timely opportunities or obstacles

　　Is responsible for achieving business objectives of area of responsibility

　　Reviews the BU structure to ensure efficiency

　　Qualifications

　　University degree

　　Knowledge of English language (high level)

　　Relevant working experience of 6-10 years

　　People management

　　Developing others

　　Strategic thinking

　　Business planning
