Business Systems Analysis - Sr Professional I
What does a successful Business Systems Analyst do at Fiserv?
In this position within the DNA Deposits Development team, you will work to identify and assist with the software development process by defining and documenting software requirements and reviewing and testing the developed software to ensure that it functions correctly, meets our software development standards, and fulfills agreed to requirements with stakeholders.
What you will do:
Ensures quality design and delivery of projects and maintenance items
Works with internal stakeholders such as Product Owner, Client Care, and Implementation team to clearly define and document business problems
Communicates business requirements and proposed solutions to both internal and external stakeholders
Assists with diagnosis/troubleshooting of reported problems pertaining to the software developed team
Determines how to best implement required changes by working with Development staff, Product Owner, Quality Assurance staff and other Business Analysts
Creates business requirements documentation/use cases with sufficient detail to enable application developers to complete programming
Conduct System Testing on the developed software solutions to ensure the completed product matches with the business requirements and expected functionality
Participate and provide feedback in feature review sessions
Confirms user documentation effectively conveys the information needed to successfully use a feature
Familiarity with technical landscape that our software products use (databases, websites, servers)
Familiarity with typical software lifecycle processes and artifacts
Knowledge of running simple SQL Server queries for troubleshooting
Willingness to conduct functional sessions with the Client Care and Implementation team to reduce the client inquiries
What you will need to have:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent professional work experience3 to 5 years of business experience within the Banking and/or Credit Union industries...specifically in the area of CRM is a MUST
3+ years’ experience in applying principles and practical application of business systems analysis. In lieu of business analyst experience, individuals with strong banking experience and excellent writing and communication skills will be considered
Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Process including agile methodologies
Experience conducting preliminary analysis and estimations for new product feature requests
Experience in writing requirement documents for application development
Ability to write high quality requirements that are easily consumable by the application team
Familiarity in writing test plans and software testing
Excellent verbal and written communication skills as this position requires extensive communication between technical and non-technical audiences
Must be self-directed and highly motivated with the ability to work independently as well as with a team
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships
What would be great to have:
Experience with Skytap, Microsoft Azure, JIRA, and Confluence
Certified in Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ - 900)
Experience with core banking systems
Experience reviewing and understanding the business process surrounding a client bank’s requested modifications.
Experience assisting or leading in root cause analysis of issues
Experience in recommending product enhancements or other appropriate actions to improve feature offerings
Experience utilizing systems and data to resolve business issues in the most effective manner
Experience providing financial or operational business-related analysis and research to support business goals
Experience with SQL, Jira, and Confluence
