Allied Universal® Event Services, an Allied Universal® Company, is hiring a Business Development Manager. The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and developing strategic business partnerships through new sales opportunities to support the Event Services growth strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain current client relationships while establishing, developing, and fostering new business opportunities to position Allied Universal Event Services as the leading provider of Event Security and Guest Services
Prospect and develop leads in the event services network to generate sales
Manage focus and plans through lead generation tools social media, and industry associations
Interact with the other divisions of Allied Universal to generate leads, professional relationships and ultimately, new sales growth
Perpetuate professional business brand to attract a following of targeted connections and relationships
Strategically coordinate, schedule, and travel to optimize client meetings throughout the assigned territory
Conduct all business with the highest of ethical and professional standards
Execute high level of integrity and trust with both internal and external customers
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Current driver’s license if driving a company or customer owned vehicle
Minimum of two (2) years of previous outside sales experience in a B2B environment, preferably with a service product
Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented sales environment that allows for collaboration with the operations team in identifying and resolving issues and concerns
Proven track record of excellence in sales activity (awards, top rankings, etc.) using consultative sales techniques
Proven ability to leverage social media and professional networks (i.e., LinkedIn) to prospect and follow up with consistency; attend professional networking and community events when appropriate
Superior, world class interpersonal and communication skills, as well as solid writing skills
Dedication to high quality customer service delivery and integrity through proven client and customer relationships
Proficient in web-based applications (i.e., salesforce.com), and programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), to effectively edit and create reports, database entries and presentation materials
Demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines

Highly proficient and fully functional in all Microsoft Office applications and able to effectively utilize all available office management technology
Professional, articulate, and able to use good independent judgment and discretion
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing or BusinessBENEFITS:
Base salary range: $60,000–$65,000; commission and bonus plan

Enrollment in our company’s 401(k)plan, subject to eligibility requirements
Eight paid holidays annually, five sick days, and four personal days
Vacation time offered at an accrual rate of 3.08 hours biweekly. Unused vacation is only paid out where required by law.
