  Position: Accountant

  Location: New Orleans, LA

  Job Type: Temp-Hire Part-Time (20 - 25 hours per week)

  Pay: $25 per hour

  Work Days: Monday through Friday

  Flexible Hours: Start and end times negotiable

  Responsibilities:

  Preparation of Title III Program Budgets, Financial Reports, Reconciliations, Revisions, and all related budgetary matters.

  Preparation and submission of monthly (mid-month) and detailed drawdown reports for all Title III HBCU and FUTURE Act Programs to the Title III Executive Director.

  Preparation of mid-year, end-of-year, and any other Title III Budget/Financial Reports as required by the funding agency and/or Title III Executive Director.

  Compiling and maintaining an accurate and up-to-date and detailed listing of ALL grants awarded to the institution.

  Maintaining a daily spreadsheet of all Title III Programs' expenditures and balances.

  Reconciling Title III Programs' Budget expenditures with Banner and G-5.

  Working closely with the Director of Grants and Sponsored Programs on non-Title III Grant Award matters.

  Working closely with non-Title III PIs and their budgets, reports, and compliance issues.

  Working closely with the Comptroller's Office and the Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance.

  Performing other related duties as requested by the supervisor.

  Qualifications:

  Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  Experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and grant accounting.

  Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

  Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
