As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will help run the business through supervision of warehouse activities in secondary manufacturing operations. This role is a first line leader position responsible for supervision and performance management of the personnel, troubleshooting process problems and supervising the operation, ensuring the area adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices, approved process steps, SOPs, quality procedures, safety and environmental standards while operating within the profit plan.
The hours for this position are Monday through Friday 2-10:30 PM

These responsibilities include some of the following:Supervise activities of the associates performing including, but not limited to, warehouse and non-warehouse inventory control, incoming GMP and non-GMP material movements, shipping and receivingProvide performance management, coaching, disciplining, mentoring and skill development opportunities to GSK staff and seasonal contingent work force.Ensure robust operations in compliance with the GSK safety procedures and all applicable EHS regulations, standard operating procedures, and industry practices Coordinate resources required to complete routine work to meet schedule demand and assigned special projects. Promote teamwork and open communications. Ensure appropriate recruitment, selection and ongoing training to support the business needs.Drive business improvement through concept and implementation of operational strategies.Optimize processes and ways of working using GPS methodologies.Develop and implement productivity improvement plans leading to lower cost per dose and higher line output while maintaining EHS standards.Develop Annual Supply Chain EHS Plan and ensure timely completion of deliverablesBuild departmental competency in EHS Risk ManagementSupporting cross departmental communication on priorities and issuesEscalation of known issues that impact/delay product releaseKey contact and site subject matter expert for all questions and issues related to shipping & receiving functions, intra-site transfers, inventory control and internal warehouse processes. Assist with project definition during design of projects and project effectiveness review post implementation.Actively participate in troubleshooting processes and equipment problems as well as assisting with completing all necessary paperwork associated with investigations, deviations, and events.Communicate and report status of equipment maintenance related issues to area management and assist with actions necessary to resolve issues.Perform all job responsibilities in compliance with applicable EHS and GMP regulations, guidelines, policies, standard operating procedures, industry practice and Industrial Excellence initiatives. Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 3 years' experience in warehouse or supply chain role OR HS diploma and minimum of 5 years' experience in warehouse or supply chain role Preferred Qualifications:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:Experience with GMP's, NIH and FDA and other regulatory agency requirements, validation principles and quality systems with demonstrated success in application.Stay current on developments in the field and GSK-Bio Standards.Ability to establish, maintain and supervise working relationships cross functionally with all teams on site, e.g. production, QA, QC, engineering, validation, and maintenance.The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to all levels within the organization as well as the skills to communicate site operations to outside agencies.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, ability to function in an atmosphere of constant change with detailed accuracy.Ability to lead the process to generate the exchange of ideas to resolve problems prioritizes solutions, select optimal solutions and implement decisions.Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills. The ability to function within team-based organization.Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office applications and SAP and the ability to quickly and easily learn new applications.Must be able to address complex problems associated with assessing deviations, equipment complexities and implementation of change and improvement to validated and/or FDA approved production systems.Must be able to operate independently in a high complex matrix environmentSense of urgency, flexibility and accountability while executing capability and leadership to manage people and field projects teams Why GSK?
