Position Overview Receive, stock, ship,order & count inventory items. This is an entry level position that isresponsible for the safe operation of a forklift in order to stock alllumber & building materials. Perform duties within the established work& safety procedures. Essential Job Duties Operate safely. Participate ina positive work environment Assist warehouse associates & directsupervisor in maintaining an organized work environment. May include,emptying trash receptacles, & keeping all bays & staging areas clean &organized. Receive incoming products, commodities & materials. ProvidesExcellent Customer Service Count & record receipt of materials. Stockall material received in appropriate bins or storage locations. Assistinventory control in counting & organizing warehouse materials. Complywith all company policies & guidelines. Operate forklift with foot & h&controls. May use forklift to build outgoing orders or to load completedorders onto delivery equipment Operate facility equipment as necessary(e.g. bander, power tools, various hand tools). Monitor inventory asrequired by location management. Retain an awareness of the workenvironment critical to the task at h& to produce error free & damagefree results. Participates in & completes assigned trainings. Otherduties as assigned by Management Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Minimumeducation preferred - High school diploma or GED. No experiencerequired. Will train. Ability to do basic math, read orders, writeinstructions & complete forms. Ability/willingness to learn to read atape measure. Ability to effectively & professionally communicate withcustomers, other employees & supervisors using verbal & written skills.Ability to deal constructively with conflict & recognize potentialproblems. Proficiency with or ability to learn current technologies(e.g. Smartphone, Inventory Control Systems, & other necessary businessapplications). Physical demands include standing & walking for extendedperiods of time, exposure to extreme temperatures, bending or stooping,regularly lifting up to 50 pounds & frequently up to 100 pounds or more..
