JOB REQUIREMENTS: Transload Operator/Laborer ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESTransload various dry and liquid materials (food grade, plastics, andnon-hazmat) Loading and unloading of railcars using conveyors, pumps,boilers, manual labor and other mechanical applications Assist withmaintenance, clean-up, and other duties as assigned May require the useof a pallet jack, or fork lift Perform railcar inspections and moverailcars as needed Requires the use of a front-end loader and railcarmover PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to work safely and quickly. Abilityto work out in the elements. Ability to climb on and off railcars, walklong distances and push or pull at least 75 lbs. Adjust controls toguide, position, or move equipment, such as cranes, booms, or cameras.Adjust or replace equipment parts, such as rollers, belts, plugs, orcaps, using hand tools. Attach identifying tags to containers or markthem with identifying information. Carry needed tools or supplies fromstorage or trucks and return them after use. Carry out general yardduties, such as performing shunting on railway lines. Direct spouts andposition receptacles, such as bins, carts, or containers so they can beloaded. Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory isprotected. Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storageor production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, orcontainers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, or other equipment. Packcontainers and re-pack damaged containers. Read work orders or receiveoral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipmentneeds. Record numbers of units handled or moved, using daily productionsheets or work tickets. Shovel material, such as gravel, ice, or spilledconcrete, into containers or bins or onto conveyors. ***** OTHEREXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Strong work ethics, Able to work alone aswell as a team player.
