FTE: 0.800000 Shift: Shift 1 Job Summary: To facilitate and assistwound care nurses during examination of wound healing patients andcontribute to their care by preparing examination rooms and patients,administering immunizations, performing limited procedures, schedulingtests, and assisting providers during examinations. Under the directionof the Wound Healing providers, may perform simple dressing changes,measure wounds and perform photographic documentation. May performfacility and/or unit specific audits and data collection. Facilitatesand coordinates communication with nursing staff, physicians, otherdepartments and patients and families related to patient care. Otherduties as assigned. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: Two years of direct patientcare obtaining knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform this job isrequired. Previous experience in an outpatient health care setting ispreferred. Two years of CNA experience in direct patient carepreferred.EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: High school diploma or equivalent isrequired.LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: Current State of Wisconsin Certificationas a Nursing Assistant, or Emergency Medical Technician or Graduate ofan accredited Medical Assistant Program (Associate, Diploma orCertificate) is required. within introductory period. American HeartAssociation (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS)or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
