Basic Purpose and Objective:

　　Under general supervision, and according to established policies and procedures, checks parts and conformity to specifications and drawings. Using various measuring equipment checks parts to ensure parts are production capable. Notifies leader, supervisor, or manager of any deviation from specification requirements.

　　*Applicant will be required to train on 1st shift before they are able to work solely on 2nd shift*

　　Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

　　Gathers and reports SPC information during the production run.

　　Completes various inspection reports.

　　Audits production parts to ensure parts meet acceptable criteria.

　　Notifies appropriate personnel of any deviation from established part parameters.

　　May be required to verify that raw material meets specifications.

　　Produces visual inspection aids for the production floor.

　　Uses specific instruments for measurements – calipers, micrometers, blueprints

　　Other duties as assigned.

　　Education Required:

　　High school diploma or equivalent work experience.Experience Required:

　　Ability to read instructions in the use and maintenance of inspection equipment, and read mechanical drawings.

　　Ability to communicate verbally and written.

　　Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form.
