Description
SAIC has an immediate opening for a Wireless Network Administrator to support the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Revolutionary IT Services (RITS) program to deploy, maintain, and upgrade large scale wireless networks.
NOTE: This position is a fully remote / work from home position.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Under general direction, deploy, maintain, and optimize wireless networks, with a focus on ensuring improved performance, high quality, and increased reliability of RF links at geographically dispersed sites.
Interpret client requirements and provide tailored solutions to meet and exceed customer expectations.
Provide guidance enterprise network engineers and non-technical staff on wireless technologies, approaches, best practices, and procedures.
Perform tests and evaluations of wired and wireless networks to assess change viability, optimization options, and present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Support Wireless Intrusion Detection & Prevention (WID/WIPs) to identify vulnerabilities and remediation avenues by exercising sound judgement, policy adherence, and by leveraging current/future knowledge.
Perform a variety of break/fix activities including regular and irregular incident & outage response by leveraging a suite of applications to detect and respond to enterprise events.
Provide exemplary customer service to USACE contractor and government personnel in the wireless realm.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors and five (5)+ years of experience; additional four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree
Extensive experience of routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP
Extensive experience deploying and optimizing enterprise wireless networks
Demonstrated proficiency using enterprise network management applications such as Cisco Prime Infrastructure (CPI) and/or SolarWinds
Demonstrated proficiency installing, configuring, maintaining, and fixing enterprise wireless networks
Demonstrated ability to dive deep to analyze and troubleshoot enterprise outages with cross functional teams
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:
Must have a current DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher certification such as Security+, OR CySA+, etc.
CCNP Wireless (or equivalent) preferred
REQUIRED CLEARANCES:
Must be able to obtain a full Secret Clearance; Interim Secret required prior to start, SAIC will help to obtain
Must be a current US Citizen
Target salary range: $105,001 - $115,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
