o Cable engineering and design
o Pure cable engineers are difficult to source so we are looking to bring in electrical engineers or other degreed engineers that have experience with engineering and design tasks related to cable design and engineering
• 2-5 years of work experience in a technical/engineering role
o Cable harness design experience desired
o Experience working with and designing electrical/connection schematics
o Experience with designing Printed Wiring Boards (PWB) and Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA) is optional
o Experience with 3-Phase 115V AC power systems
o Experience with DC power supplies and components (5V, 12V, 28V)
o Experience with digital signals (copper data, fiber data, video, audio)
• Education
o 4 Year degree or greater in Electrical Engineering or a similar field
o Additional years of experience can make up for lack of a 4-year degree
• Attitude and Soft Skills
o Willingness to learn new skills and disciplines cable design
o Can communicate within a team; to higher level engineers/managers, to design peers and to drafters/designers that they will feed designs to
o Willing to ask questions, either in person or over electronic communication
o Can manage their own work; understands what work is in their queue, when it needs to be done and executes to complete it
o Able to dig into design documents to come up with solutions, can investigate design questions and troubleshoot issues when they come up
