　　Welder C - Westwego, LA

　　This is a full-time, hourly level position.

　　Position Summary:

　　ADM is seeking a welder to repair inland river barges and boats at our American River Transportation Company (ARTCo) fleeting location in Westwego, LA.Job Responsibilities:

　　Repair, cut and remove damaged steel

　　Fit new material and weld watertight

　　Various other welding and cutting projects

　　General labor and housekeeping

　　Report all injuries, illnesses, and near misses in a timely manner

　　Additional duties and responsibilities as required or requested

　　Job Requirements:

　　Must be able to use an oxygen/acetylene cutting torch to cut mild steel plate

　　Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team

　　Ability to work overtime as required; must allow for changes in assignment and priorities depending upon the identified needs of the operations

　　Welding certificate preferred, but not required

　　Promote the ADM Way and core Values

　　Must have a demonstrated history of safe work behavior and a sincere desire to follow and improve upon safety policies and procedures

　　Must have reliable transportation to and from work

　　Ability to work extended hours, evenings, weekends and Holidays

　　Physical Requirements:

　　Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screening and Company human performance exam (physical ability test)

　　Standing for prolonged periods of time

　　Frequent heavy lifting

　　Prolonged periods of kneeling, bending and climbing stairs/ladders

　　Ability to work near or on large bodies of water, at various heights and in confined spaces

　　Must be able to work in all types of climates, including, but not limited to hot, cold, dusty, etc

　　ADM requires the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and a background check.​
