Primary ResponsibilitiesThe primary duties of the Water Resources EIT / Designer will be participating in the design of various water resource-related facilities. This will include advance planning, study, and design efforts on the dam, levee, fish hatcheries, and water resource projects across our Area. Projects would include fish hatchery studies and design, dam rehabilitation, open channels, floodplains, sustainable stormwater, as well as flood mitigation and resiliency studies.Primary ResponsibilitiesWork under project engineers on the application of various design engineering and modeling techniques in the development of water resource projects for federal, state, and local municipalitiesFocus on civil engineering, hydraulics and hydrology modeling, stormwater collection systems modeling, data collection, assimilation, and presentationsFocus on projects including stormwater management, flood control, dam safety, river design, stream grade control structures, levees, stream channel restoration/rehabilitation, wetland and lake restoration, watershed issues such as non-point source loading, fish hatcheries, fish passage and fish protection for waterwaysProduce design calculations, draft technical reports, and perform water resources studiesPerform other duties as neededQualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related fieldExperienced with Microsoft Office Suite, standard CAD platforms such as AutoCADExcellent oral and written communication skillsSelf-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to the completion of the taskAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned culturePreferred QualificationsPreference is given to local candidatesEIT or ability to obtain within 12 months.
