　　D.R. Horton, Inc.is currently looking for a_Water Resource Manager Vidler-AZ_. The right candidate will work with the DRH Phoenix East and Phoenix West Divisions to identify current and future water needs. Acquire new water supplies for DRH projects to support Certificates of Assured Water Supplies using Long-Term Storage Credits or other applicable water supplies. Identify and acquire water assets that are beneficial for Vidler/DRH to obtain for future returns. Administer purchases of water rights in and assist in the sales of water assets and land assets once acquired.

　　Water Resource Analysis and Water Rights Maintenance:

　　Oversee cataloging and administration of water development projectso Coordinate activities related to the maintenance of water right records for corporate water assets + Act as Agent for corporate entities with water interests + Maintain records of ownership of water resources + Responsible for filing of applications with the Arizona Department of Water Resourceso Create and maintain databases of various water assets and D.R. Horton Development water needso Provide project management as required, such as: + Track permit status + Document research/review of title + Site Investigations + Data collection relating to water needs and type for proposed development + Track phasing of projects + Interact with Utilities and MunicipalitiesPerform miscellaneous research tasks concerning water right records investigationso Analyze water resource potential of siteso Identify means to acquire water for development + Water rights purchases + Water rights applicationsAsset Sales:

　　Oversee and manage water rights purchases in the State of Arizonao Provide primary customer contact for water rights purchases and availabilityo Coordinate sales with Arizona Department of Water Resourceso Compile purchase agreements and other necessary correspondence for reports of saleso Create and maintain database for the administration of water rights sales and required reportingo Maintain records and communication with State regulating agencieso Identify water leads through contacting brokers, engineers, reviewing development websites, studying GIS and land use plans, driving areas, and researching available resourceso Inter-act with local contacts including municipal, governmental, and private entities involved in developing the water resources projectso Develop an understanding of dedication rates for projects throughout the Phoenix and Pinal Active Management Areas o Maintain a database of water sales data, and potential projects of D.R. Horton, Inc., and associated water needs in coordination with the Phoenix East and Phoenix West Divisionso Assist with the preparation of contract documents and tracking contract milestone datesOversee and manage water rights and purchases, and sale of lando Determine if land is desired by DRH or DHIC, if so, work with team for entitlements and handoffConduct site visit to the Vidler Recharge Facility in the Harquahala Valley as requiredConducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the companyAbility to travel overnightEducation and/or Experience * Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in water resource related field * Five to Ten years of related experience and/or training * Familiarity with water rights specific to Arizona including Long-Term Storage Credits developed through Arizona’s recharge program, Type I and Type II groundwater rights, Extinguishment Credits, and a familiarity with Arizona water laws pertaining to Certificates of Assured Water Supply, Physical Availability Determinations, and the Assured and Adequate Water Supply Statutes and Rules * Familiarity and experience with water laws of other western states including California, New Mexico, Washington, and Texas * Ability to Work Independently * Efficient and effective at multitasking and meeting deadlines * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and/or oral form, or via DRH applications * Proficiency with MS Office and email * Ability to sit for majority of 8-hour workday; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision * The noise level is generally moderate
