DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs a WWTP Operator, you perform a variety of both skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the overall operation of the WWTP, including 15 lift stations throughout Fort Indiantown Gap. The WWTP is a multi-shift operation. Additional responsibilities include snow, ice, and debris removal from all exterior surfaces of facility property, and landscaping to include mowing grass.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work weekWork hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.Rotational scheduled shifts to include holidays

QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:Successful completion of the Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Trainee (commonwealth title) program and certification as a wastewater treatment plant operator for any class and type of plant; orPossession of a valid certification issued by the Pennsylvania State Board for Certification of Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators as a wastewater treatment plant operator for any class and type of plant.
Special Requirements:This position requires possession of a valid Wastewater Systems Operators Class B, Subclass E, 1 & 4 Certification.This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
Additional Requirement:You must possess a valid federal or state-issued photo ID and pass a favorable NCIC screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap.You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):This position is located at Fort Indiantown Gap, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania. Willingness and ability to work in Lebanon, Pennsylvania.Formal training in Wastewater management.Experience in the operation of a Sequential Batch Reactor for a Wastewater Treatment Plant.Experience in the operation, maintenance and repair of motors, pumps, compressors, valves, filters, and/or other related Wastewater Treatment Plant equipment.Experience preparing weekly and monthly work schedule for multi-shift operation.Experience performing sampling and testing of plant influent or effluent for environmental protection.
