  Schedule:

  Typically a 50-60 hour work weekSunday - Thursday, (Sunday 1pm start, Monday-Thursday 2pm start)What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health:

  Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

  Responsibilities in this role

  Direct and manage a team of 25 warehouse associates to achieve timely distribution and receipt of products and motivate employees to ensure that predetermined productivity and quality standards are achievedMonitor productivity, adhere to budgetary guidelines, and work to meet Distribution Center objectives and operational goals while maintaining standards pertaining to qualityPerform daily scheduling of the work force to ensure proper staffing to select, replenish, restock, locate and ship merchandise in a productive and cost-efficient mannerCoordinate maintenance of equipment, guiding both preventive maintenance and coordinating all necessary repairsActive engagement in employee development, which includes training, coaching, counseling, and performance appraisalsCollaborate with cross matrix teams at all levels within the organization, specifically within HR groups on a daily basisInterview and make hiring decisions for lead and associate level rolesMaintain general responsibility for disciplinary process in the area of counseling, oral and written warnings; ensure a productive work climate in the warehouse operationPrepare ad hoc reports and complete necessary tasks using Microsoft Office, Workday, Tableau, and Intelex.Responsible for accurate attendance/PTO records and ensure employee scheduling is maintained in Kronos.Enforce Cardinal Health compliance and regulations concerning OSHA, DEA, FDA, State and local authoritiesQualifications

  High school diploma or GED preferred; Bachelor’s degree a plus2-3 years related experience preferredPrior experience with continuous improvement projects and initiatives preferredStrong written and verbal communication skillsPrevious experience leading a teamStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel ( Pivot Tables and spreadsheets )Experience working within ERP’s (SAP or Manhattan) preferredWhat is expected of you and others at this level
