  JOB REQUIREMENTS: 1st Shift Warehouse Supervisor - 1115968900DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Job Overview The Warehouse Supervisor isresponsible for the efficient and safe operation of their assigned area.The Supervisor will ensure that all orders being processed and allmaterial being received is done so according to approved procedures,SOP\'s, and specifications. This position is responsible for meetingWarehouse schedules, deadlines, and ensuring that all SOP\'s are adheredto, as well as, developing new procedures that will enhance theprocesses we follow today. Job Responsibilities * Assure that the laboris distributed evenly throughout assigned areas in order to processcustomer orders efficiently. * Complete daily schedule of employee workzones, organizes and sets up overtime crews and schedules temporaryemployees when required to efficiently complete workload. * Assure thatall material received and shipped meets all quality specifications. *Provide assistance and guidance to warehouse employees, providing themwith what they need to accomplish daily tasks and achieve goals. *Maintain high level of communication with management, peers andsubordinates. * Conduct shift start up meetings and weekly updatesensuring timely communication of significant events. * Ensure thatongoing, as well as, new hire training is completed and up-to-date. *Manage and make sound/independent decisions relating to shipping /receiving issues. * Delegate responsibilities as needed. * Observe andevaluate warehouse processes and personnel. * Schedule employeevacations and supervises attendance issues. * Maintain accurate recordsand employee files. * Lead and motivate by example. * Ensure thatfreight being loaded on outbound trailers is loaded in accordance withthe DOT and Customer shipping requirements. * Process daily employeeissues and complaints; listens well and provides tactful feedback. *Facilitate and assist with special projects, customer requests, samples,cost savings, etc. * Work closely with the production department tocoordinate product needs for shipping purposes. * Assist withselection, hiring, advancement, transfer, promotion and terminationdecisions for the department. * Schedule hours and close out employeetimecards. * Administer discipline when needed. * Assure a safe workenvironment and makes sure that any issues are solved. * Perform cyclecounts * Responsible for the accurate and timely receipt of product. *All GLC employees are expected to perform any assignment or job taskaccording to the stated safety policies and procedures. * All GLCemployees are expected to produce our products in a manner that exceedsthe quality and value expectation of our customers and consumers byadhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, Policies and Proceduresoutlined in our Safe Quality Food Program. * Other responsibilities asassigned by the Manager. Working Conditions * Ability to constantlystand/walk; bend/flex/extend neck; frequently grip/reach/lift/pull withL/R hands. * Ability to frequently handle material from floor-to-waist,waist-to-shoulder and pushing/pulling/carrying. * Product weight: up to50 lbs. * Repetitive work in a fast-paced production environment withaverage temperature of 50-60 degrees F. NearestMajor Market: Wausau Equal OpportunityEmployer-minorities/females/veterans/individuals withdisabilities/sexual orientation/gender identity ***** OTHEREXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Required Education and Experience *Bachelor\'s degree or commensurate experience. * 3 years of warehousesupervisory experience or more. * 3 years of warehouse experience ormore. * In depth understanding of shipping and receiving processes andrelated equipment. * Ability to make sound decisions based on standardpractices. * Abilit to read and prepare shipping and receivingrecords/reports and comprehend production schedules/pick sheets. *Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead in a team basedculture. * The ability to follow-up on employee issues and bringsemployee conflicts to a satisfactory resolution. * The ability toeffectively manage time, coordinate multiple tasks, adjust schedules inorder to meet deadlines and goals in a fast paced environment. * Strongverbal and written communication skills. * Basic computer skills. *Proficient in Microsoft Office. * Experience in the use of a bar codedriven (RF) operation.
