POSITION OBJECTIVES:
Manages the allocation, routing, tracing and distribution of materials via the delegation of responsibility and authority. Plans, directs, and oversees the activities pertaining to all warehouse operations including receiving, distribution, order picking, packing and shipping of materials. Partners with manufacturing, sales and customer service to assure production schedules and commitments to internal and external customers are consistently met.
· Meet the requirements of Warehouse Associate I, II, and III.
· Manage warehouse operation and assign duties as needed.
· Maintain shipping B/O reports by coordinating with Parts Sales/Purchasing.
· Maintain Production B/O reports by coordinating with Purchasing /Inventory Manager.
· Maintain small kit B/O report by coordinating with Inventory Manager/Purchasing.
· Conduct Cycle counts and process journals.
· Fill in for any position that is short staff.
· Conduct daily tool box talks.
· Coordinate shipments with Logistics Coordinator on any container or Flatbed shipments.
· Oversee any large pump shipments, and understand work instructions to ship large scale pumps.
· Understand all work instruction as well as how to update and change them.
· Ability to understand the Lock out Tag out process.
· Train staff on all forklifts.
· Keep warehouse and yard clean and organized at all times.
· Maintain monthly error tracking reports.
· Report any damage to equipment, and machinery to supervisor.
· Process any incident reports & near misses.
· Perform 90 day & yearly staff evaluations.
· Attend Monthly safety meeting.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High school diploma is required
· Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Requires experience with computerized warehouse management systems
· 3 to 6 years’ experience in warehouse operations and 3 to 5 years’ experience in management. Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality standards or other/similar quality system management is desired, but not mandatory.
· Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, detailed correspondence and memos. Ability to write detailed correspondence.
· Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, vendors and other employees of the organization.
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
· Ability to calculate and interpret financial measures such as percentages, margins, ratios and other comparative statistics.
· Must be able to interpret graphs and other visual representations used to present data.
· Strong negotiation skills are required.
