  Dal-Tile is currently seeking an exceptional Warehouse Associate to join our TEAM! As the Warehouse Associate , we need someone who will own a variety of material handling duties such as receiving, loading/unloading material, pulling/assembling customers’ orders, and inventory checks. This position involves daily use of forklift and crane equipment.

  WAREHOUSE ASSOC I – SSC - #121 San Jose, CA:

  Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $17.55 hr and $23.89 hr at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the compensation package, which depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other company sponsored benefit programs.

  Primary Objective:

  Performs a variety of slab-handling duties associated with the warehouse.Primary Function and Scope:

  Performs a variety of warehouse duties such as pulling/assembling customer orders, checking outbound orders for accuracy/completeness, inventory stock checks, restocking and labeling vendor products, maintaining displays (tools, caulk, etc.), moving, storing, and replenishing material, and conduct PIT checks.

  May be expected to perform receiving duties such as receiving and unloading inbound material, processing inbound shipments, stocking material, processing customer returns, and notifying management of damaged shipments for freight claims.

  Operates crane forklift equipment and overhead crane where available.

  Maintains the clean and organized facility by sweeping, trash removal, restroom, general office maintenance, etc.

  May be required to perform Monthly Housekeeping Audit.

  May wait on customers and prepare sales slips.

  Required to maintain a safe working environment by following all safety rules as outlined in the Safety Program with emphasis on:

  Safe Slab Handling Procedures.

  Proper PPE.

  Safety Incident Reporting.

  Reporting unsafe conditions and acts to Management.

  Safety awareness in the customer viewing area.

  Performs other related duties as required.

  Experience and Knowledge Required:

  High School diploma or equivalent experience; Certified Forklift Operator.

  3+ years of previous warehouse experience preferred.

  Competencies:

  Basic math skills, organization skills, customer service skills, fluency in English, detail-oriented, and safety conscious.Other Pertinent Job Information
