Overview
The Vice President of Product Management for our Point of Care division, based in the innovation hub of Austin, TX, is more than a visionary leader; they are the financial and strategic architect of our product line. With P&L management as a cornerstone of the role, candidates are expected to demonstrate strong financial acumen, shaping the profitability and growth of our solutions. This position requires a leader adept at navigating global markets and team dynamics, as our organization evolves to meet the future of healthcare technology. Your success in this role will be defined not just by managing numbers but by how you embody Omnicell’s values, drive innovation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams, particularly engineering, to deliver products that enhance patient care and operational efficiency across the globe.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Forge and realize a visionary long-term plan for the Point of Care product suite that syncs with Omnicell’s strategic imperatives and market evolution.
Product Innovation: Pilot the end-to-end innovation cycle, from ideation & build to market launch, crafting products that set new standards in healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.
Cross-functional Synergy: Architect cohesive product strategies and market entry plans in concert with sales, marketing, engineering, and customer support, reinforcing Omnicell’s market presence.
Market Intelligence: Navigate market dynamics with thorough research and analytical acumen, ensuring our Point of Care solutions outpace industry shifts and competitive pressures.
Team Excellence and Strong People Management: Cultivate a performance-driven culture within the product management team, nurturing talent and setting benchmarks for excellence.

The ideal candidate will embody visionary leadership, possess a robust expertise in product management, and demonstrate an unwavering commitment to operational excellence. They will have demonstrated building and launching products and services in the healthcare space by working in partnership with engineering. They will have strong technical chops to work through complex product problems. Qualifications
Educational Attainment: Bachelor’s required; advanced degree preferred.
Professional Leadership: 10+ years in product management with a history of launching and managing complex products; experience with global teams is valued.
People Leadership: proven people leader focused on empowering teams and helping individuals achieve professional goals.
Industry Expertise: Preferred knowledge of healthcare and regulatory requirements; or experience in a highly regulated industry.
Strategic Vision: A proven strategist and data-driven decision-maker.
Communication Mastery: Exceptional communicator with a collaborative spirit.
Innovative Thinking: Innovator with a proven record of solving complex problems.
