Sargent Aerospace & Defense currently has an opening for a part-time Proposal and Price Analyst position.
Position Summary
The Proposal and Price Analyst works with Sargent’s Cost Estimating, Engineering, Strategic Sourcing, and Government Compliance departments to compile required data and documentation in support of U.S. Government contracts. The Proposal and Price Analyst reviews supplier quotes in support of customer proposals to determine reasonableness and compiles required documentation and justification for single and sole source awards.
Responsibilities
Perform cost estimating/pricing related duties and analysis in the evaluation of supplier quotes and customer proposals.
Works closely with Cost Estimating, Supply Chain Management, Engineering and Government Compliance to complete reports and documents in accordance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Researches and critically analyzes data using spreadsheets, technical documents, market research, and invoices to create documentation to support government subcontracting.
Possesses the ability to display quantitative data (pricing) in a simple, intuitive format and to present findings in a clear and concise manner complete documentation and reports.
Will be required to manage a diverse portfolio of pricing activities including, but not limited to single or sole source justifications, proposal price analysis determinations, cost estimating factors, and ad-hoc analysis and documentation.
Develop reports and tools as needed to support analytical needs of the pricing effort.
Qualifications
Associate's/bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field;
1 to 4 years of related work experience with government contracting;
Knowledge of and/or experience with federal proposal regulations including but not limited to: FAR, DFAR, Government Contracts Cost and Pricing (TINA);
Proficient in MS Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.);
Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as strong organizational and interpersonal skills;
Possess a strong attention to detail;

Preferred Qualifications
Sargent is seeking a seasoned, motivated, and self-reliant professional who can share their expertise in government proposal documentation. Preferred qualifications include previous experience with DCAA or DCMA audits. This position requires in-depth knowledge of FAR Part 15 elements.
