  Industrial Automation (IA): With a deep history in industrial automation that spans more than five decades, Honeywell enables process industry operations, creates world-class sensor technologies, automates supply chains, makes warehouses smarter, and improves worker safety.   THE POSITION

  The VP of IA Procurement Operations will be an exceptionally capable leader dedicated to driving operational excellence across all 6 of the strategic business units within IA. Responsibilities will include supply assurance, supplier quality engineering, supply chain NPI, plant operational procurement, and supply resiliency. In addition, this exceptional leader will need to build the centralized procurement operations organization, optimizing what is pulled into a central structure and what responsibilities remain within the specific business units. The direct material spend of IA is nearly $3B across more than 9,000 suppliers and 150,000 purchased part numbers. To manage the complexity of this supply chain, the VP will need to drive automation and digitalization while developing and implementing standardized systems and processes across the business units. The successful candidate will be a hands-on, front-line leader with the executive presence to establish immediate credibility with suppliers and other Honeywell cross-functional senior leaders.

  The role will report directly to the VP and Chief Procurement Officer, Industrial Automation, and can be based in either Houston, Texas, or Charlotte, North Carolina. The successful candidate should have a proven high-performance track record and at least 10 years of leadership experience in procurement operations within a product manufacturing business.

  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  Build a world class centralized procurement operations organization with senior leaders directly reporting to you and responsible for Supply Assurance, Supplier Quality Engineering, Supply Chain NPI, Operational Procurement Buyers, and Supply Resiliency.

  Develop and implement standardized processes across the IA business units that result in proactively identifying supply risks while delivering operational excellence.

  Implement supplier quality processes that result in supplier readiness for new product launches, identify supplier quality risks, drive corrective action to resolve quality issues, and validate supplier capacities and run-at-rate capabilities.

  Drive resolution to supply shortages while working cross functionally with Honeywell’s planning organization and manufacturing sites to enable accurate production scheduling.

  Identify strategic levers within the material supply chain that can reduce complexity and lead-times.

  Develop and implement IA’s supply resiliency strategies to help create the most responsive and reliable supply chain within the industry

  YOU MUST HAVE

  Minimum of 10 years of procurement, sourcing, and integrated supply chain experience of increased responsibility in a complex global and multi-site environment

  Must be a senior level executive who has demonstrated experience with scope and complexity of our environment

  Experience leading a global team

  Diverse electronics and mechanical manufacturing experience

  WE VALUE

  Master’s degree

  Six Sigma Black belt certification or Lean Six Sigma certification preferred

  Global Leadership experience in supply chain management/sourcing/procurement

  International experience with exposure to High Growth Regions

  Demonstrated Business and financial acumen

  Complex and large project management and/or contract management experience

  Professional certifications in supply chain/ procurement/ contract management

  Experience with SAP, E Sourcing Platforms, request for quotation and project management tools

  Cross-functional experience at the interfaces of engineering/technology, operations, sales/marketing
