JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: VP IT Systems
LOCATION: Administrative Office, Senatobia, MS
REPORTS TO: Chief Executive Officer
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND IDEAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field or equivalent experience plus eight (8) or more years in acquiring, maintaining, and deploying information technology systems. This position will work on-site in Senatobia, Mississippi.
JOB PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Responsible for directing the information technology function for the Association, including establishment and administration of IT goals and policies; analyzing the technology needs of departments; and providing strategic planning for computer hardware and software requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Establishes direction, goals, and policies of IT for the Association. Assists Association senior management in the planning process by determining IT resource needs and alternatives.
Audits and reviews systems and practices to ensure compliance with procedures, regulations, and standards.
Evaluates software and hardware products for possible purchase.
Meets with vendors on new and existing products, evaluates usefulness and cost of products and makes recommendations.
Provides technical assistance on Association issues, services, programs, and/or computer hardware and software, etc.
Aids in training needs assessments and recommends training programs.
Determines the resources needed to plan and implement IT applications. Discusses requirements with end users and provides software suggestions and recommendations to users to help them understand potential limitations and challenges.
May supervise subordinate personnel including determining the workload and delegating assignments, training, monitoring, and evaluating performance.
Supports the development and maintenance of the Association credit delivery system, customer relationship management system (CRM), and enterprise content management (ECM) electronic storage systems.
Physical facilities management, including oversight of construction of new buildings or the procurement of repairs and maintenance of all buildings (owned and leased), maintenance of operating equipment and related assets as needed, and building security for all office locations.
Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Plan -- includes consulting with senior management to ensure plan is updated and complete. Responsible for testing plan at least annually.
ESSENTIAL SECURITY AND COMPLIANCE FUNCTIONS:
Help to ensure that IT resources (data, applications, and infrastructure) are kept secure from unauthorized access and use.
Report any security related concerns to senior management.
Participate in ongoing security related training as approved by management.
Keep informed of and follow Standards and Procedures as presented in the ITS&P and the FCBT General Computer Controls.
Work with IT Compliance to ensure all assigned operational compliance responsibilities are carried out in an efficient manner and report any compliance concerns to senior management.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
General knowledge of business systems software applications. Specialized knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, networking, and security. Skilled in oral and written communication. Excellent communication skills to both technical and non-technical audiences. Skilled in problem-solving including problem identification, fact-finding, research, analysis, and solution development. Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office and personal computer operating and networking systems. Works under minimal supervision.
SKILL PREFERENCES:
Familiar with MicroStrategy report writing and data structure, SharePoint and form creation, and Power BI.
