Role Summary/Purpose:
Responsible for collaborating with Remediation Center of Excellence to build and execute sustainable a remediation process consistent with Project Eagle expectations. Lead Compliance team efforts related to remediation processes as documented in the Remediation Policy.

Essential Responsibilities:
Work with the business to ensure complete understanding of risk requirements as they relate to remediating customer or consumer harm.
Focus on analyzing and assisting the business in resolving complex remediation issues
Support business partners by providing expert advice and influencing changes to processes, procedures, and controls to mitigate consumer remediation risk
Ensure that legal and regulatory requirements are disseminated throughout the organization and are executed by the business consistently and correctly.
Drive effective identification and management of customer remediation risks, provide solutions, and assist resolution.
Ensure significant risks are promptly escalated to the appropriate level.
Perform risk coverage activities through risk reviews and assessments to identify opportunities to reduce thematic risks; targeted compliance reviews and continuous monitoring activities
Help the business embed effective tools, systems and controls for analyzing and monitoring remediation risks; be an expert on appropriate controls and documentation of compliance management.
Establish effective relationships with all functional areas.
Lead Risk Assessment activities for the Remediation functions
Analyze and report on key regulatory and litigation developments surrounding customer remediation and their impact on Synchrony.
Support regulatory examinations and other supervisory activities.
Act as 2nd line point of contact for Remediation COE, coordinating and engaging other Compliance SME's as needed
Drive 2nd line process changes necessary to implement the SYF Remediation Policy
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of Remediation, Compliance or Risk experience in the financial services industry.
3+ years of hands on experience with remediation process, Compliance or Risk experience in the financial services industry

The salary range for this position is 130,000.00 - 210,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements:
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
