About IT Project Manager

  Description

  We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager for a contract position focused on third-party system implementations. The successful candidate will lead and manage the end-to-end implementation of external IT systems, ensuring seamless integration with our existing infrastructure. This is a six-month contract role with the possibility of conversion, and it requires a hybrid work schedule based in Charlotte.

  Responsibilities:

  Project Planning and Strategy:

  Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables for third-party system implementations.

  Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.

  Vendor Management:

  Coordinate with external vendors to understand system requirements, timelines, and dependencies.

  Ensure vendors meet contractual obligations and deliverables align with project objectives.

  Implementation Oversight:

  Lead the end-to-end implementation of third-party IT systems, ensuring adherence to project timelines and milestones.

  Collaborate with internal teams to integrate new systems with existing infrastructure.

  Resource Coordination:

  Allocate and manage project resources effectively to meet project goals.

  Coordinate cross-functional teams, both internal and external, to ensure successful implementation.

  Quality Assurance:

  Conduct thorough testing and validation of third-party systems to ensure functionality, security, and compliance with organizational standards.

  Address and resolve any issues identified during testing.

  Communication and Reporting:

  Provide regular project updates to stakeholders, including progress reports, risks, and mitigation plans.

  Foster clear and open communication channels between project team members and stakeholders.

  Conversion Planning:

  Evaluate the potential for system conversion and develop plans for a smooth transition if needed.

  Collaborate with internal teams to ensure ongoing support and maintenance post-implementation.

  Requirements

  Qualifications:

  Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field.

  Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, with a focus on third-party system implementations.

  Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

  Experience working with external vendors and managing vendor relationships.

  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  Familiarity with hybrid work environments and the ability to work in Charlotte.

  Preferred Skills:

  Project Management Professional (PMP) or related certification.

  Experience with IT systems in areas such as ERP, CRM, or cloud-based solutions.

  Knowledge of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) principles.

  Familiarity with regulatory compliance related to IT systems.

  Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
