Job Summary
Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking an experienced and highlyskilled level four Voice System Engineer to join our team of qualified,diverse individuals. This role is critical in designing, implementing,and maintaining our advanced voice communication systems. The successfulcandidate will bring extensive expertise in voice technologies andsystems engineering, ensuring our communication infrastructure meets thehighest standards of performance and reliability.
As a Voice System Engineer, you will be responsible for designing,configuring, and deploying voice communication systems, including VoIP,PBX, and other related technologies. You will perform advancedtroubleshooting and problem resolution for complex voice system issues,conduct system upgrades, migrations, and performance optimizations, andcollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate voice systems withother IT infrastructure components. Additionally, you will develop andimplement best practices for voice system security and reliability,monitor system performance, conduct regular audits to ensure optimaloperation, provide technical leadership and mentorship to juniorengineers and support staff, and create and maintain comprehensivedocumentation for all voice system configurations, processes, andprocedures.
Compensation Minimum: $125,000
Compensation Maximum: $130,000

Secret Clearance10+ years of experience performing Voice Systems Engineer functionsProvide Certified Nortel/Avaya Tier-3 level supportInstall/configure the Government furnished hardware and software.Perform representative sample tests needed to fully demonstrate thatthe expansion resources and tasks operate correctly in a voiceswitching environment.Resolves complex incidents and service requests independentlyInstall necessary SIPRNET infrastructures to support secure voiceconnectivity (fiber, shielded twisted pair, media converter,Tactical Local Area Network Encrypter (TACLANE), network switch)Perform the Telephone Control Officer functionsCoordinate telecommunication requirements with the Local BaseCommunications Squadron, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA),and Defense Information Technology Contracting Office (DITCO)Provide cellular telephone management functionsAttend meetings as identified by the Government and providesummary/detailed results/impact of meetings upon request by theGovernmentExtensive experience in voice system engineering, with a strongfocus on VoIP, PBX, and related technologiesIn-depth knowledge of voice communication protocols, including SIP,RTP, and H.323Proven track record in designing and implementing large-scale voicecommunication systemsStrong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complextechnical issuesExcellent understanding of network architecture and integration withvoice systemsRelevant certifications such as Cisco CCNP Collaboration, AvayaCertified Expert, or similarExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the abilityto work effectively in a team environmentEducation / Certifications
