The Division of Social Sciences in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Alfred University invites applications for the position of visiting instructor or assistant professor in political science for the academic year '24-'25 with a salary range is $51,000-$55,000.

　　 We are seeking someone to teach standard introductory-level courses and upper-division courses on the following topics: American politics, data analysis and statistics, research methods, state and local politics, and parties and elections. Preference will be given to applicants who have earned the Ph.D. in political science prior to appointment, but ABD candidates will be considered. 

　　The Division of Social Sciences, which includes faculty in political science, sociology, and criminal justice, offers three majors-criminal justice studies, political science, and sociology. The successful candidate will teach three courses (four credit hours each) in the fall '24 semester and three courses in the spring '25 semester. Additional teaching opportunities in the summer and over winter break are possible.
