Summary
The purpose of this position is to support the Member SolutionsManager/Department in all aspects of the collection activity.
Job Responsibilities
Contacts members with delinquent accounts by telephone and mail to encourageprompt repayment of delinquent loans and/or negative shares.Uses the telephone as the primary means of contact, using letters,e-mail, and other collection methods as a secondary method.Consults with Senior Member Solutions Tech (Senior) and Member SolutionsManager on loans that need to be charged off; assigned to attorney and/orcollection agency; or repossessed.Works with Senior Member Solutions Tech (Senior) on bankruptcy accounts.This includes working with Senior and the attorney and or trustee regardingthe member's intent to repay or reaffirm, preparing reaffirmationagreements, processing proof of claims, updating information in collectioncomments. Sends all paperwork and correspondence to the bankruptcy courts andattorney after being reviewed by Senior or Member Solutions Manager.Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Strong attention to detail.One-year collections experience preferred.Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced environment.Manage daily work and meet deadlines.Forty-hour work week:Regular schedule Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pmOne evening per week 10:00am-7:00pmOne Saturday per month 8:00am-noonWe love our family-like culture here at AACU.
