　　Position Summary

　　The History Department at Bowdoin College invites applications for a full-time, benefits-eligible visiting assistant professor position in medieval history, c. 500-1500, with a focus on European history within a global context. The appointment begins July 1, 2024, and is for two years with the possibility of an extension for a third year. The successful candidate will teach two courses per semester and should design their curriculum to complement the History Department’s other offerings. A Ph.D. is expected by the date of appointment.
