About Vice President, Operations, Destination and Service Lines

  ResponsibilitiesAs the Vice President, Operations, Destination and Services Lines you'll provide senior leadership, effective management and overall oversight of the strategic and operational aspects of destination and service line operations. This includes inpatient and outpatient operational oversight. The Vice President identifies opportunities and improvements to strengthen clinical model of the future. You'll serve as a key partner in executing strategy, transforming the value based care model within the organization and successfully advancing key external partnerships. The Vice President will be highly focused in achieving and exceeding objectives in quality, equity, cost, experience, affordability and outcomes. You'll also provide leadership resulting in strong operational performance, outstanding teamwork, superior quality of care and continued expansion in clinical programs, including access across our system footprint. This includes actively engaging in anti-racism and equity, diversity, inclusion (EDI) initiatives that support a diverse workforce and patient populations.As the Vice President, you're accountable for continually assessing, implementing, and evaluating the efficacy, safety and quality of delivered patient care in accordance with organizational, professional and regulatory standards. You'll play a leadership role or participate in continuous performance improvement activities throughout the organization and develop and ensure compliance with clinical standards and staff competency. This position partners closely with the Destination and Service Line Chiefs and executes in developing and implementing tools, resources and standards for destination and service line management across Seattle Children's.As the Vice President, you will have a direct reporting to the SVP/Chief Operations Officer and indirect reporting to the SVP/Chief Medical Officer, SVP/Chair of Pediatrics, SVP/Surgeon-In-Chief, Executive Director, Strategy and SVP/Chief Nursing Officer. You'll also work closely with appropriate departmental chairs, medical directors, and medical staff regarding operational and strategic initiatives.Requirements- MHA, MBA or equivalent required - A minimum of 7-10 years' experience in progressive leadership roles in a complex healthcare setting- Experience working collaboratively with service line and community-based providers- Experience in an Academic Medical Center Preferred: - Quality-oriented, focused on improvements in patient care services; has successful record in improving patient, physician and employee satisfaction scores - Has worked in competitive environments and competed successfully in market competition at regional and national level with service line leaders - Comfortable with organized labor presences - Known for open and inclusive management style and holds people accountable - A reputation for proactive identification of issues and finding solutions to them - Engender a results-oriented, focused yet collaborative management style - Be a highly visible leader and "hands on" in order to communicate the "pulse" of the destination and service line programsMin to Max Hourly Salary$127.40 - $209.13 /hrMin to Max Annual Salary$265,000.00 - $435,000.00 /yrSalary InformationThis compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year).
