Surgery: Veterinary Assistant – Full Time
About the Job: as a Vet Tech in the surgery department, you will be responsible for:
Perform basic animal restraint, lab work and radiology requirements.
Proficient with venipuncture and IV catheter placement.
Clean and disinfect the surgical suites, wrap surgery packs, and sterilize surgical instruments.
Assist with maintaining surgical supplies and equipment is in working order.
Assist with pre and post operative care.
Assist with rechecks and consultations.
The pay range for this position is $16.00-21.00 per hour. Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials.
About You:
About 1-2 years previous veterinary experience, surgery preferred but not required.
Time management skills and self-motivated to provide excellent care to our patients.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Positive outlook and ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
