VCA Aspenwood Animal Hospital is looking for 2 Veterinary Assistants to join our team. We are a busy 5 doctor practice located a few blocks off of I-25 in Denver.

　　A little bit about us

　　We have been in our location for a very long time, so we are well established within our community. We work hard to be able to help our clients and their fur babies, with a come in now stance, if the client is worried we want to help. We provide not only general wellness but surgery and dental care as well. We work with several specialists to help provide the best care for our patients.

　　We are open Monday thru Friday 7am to 7pm, Saturday's 8am to 5pm and closed on Sundays. Our veterinary assistant team works 4 - 9 1/2 hour shifts a week, including Saturday's on a rotating schedule.

　　Day to day the veterinary assistant works directly with the doctor and the technician team in treatment to provide care in the following areas:

　　Obtaining patient history and information on current concerns

　　Obtaining a TPR

　　Relay patient history and concerns to the veterinarian

　　Work with the veterinarian to provide vaccines

　　Work with the veterinarian and the treatment team to provide additional necessary treatments, including restraint for blood draws, assisting with nail trims, radiographs and any other treatment that is ordered by the veterinarian

　　This position pays between $18.29 and $19.29 an hour, dependent on previous experience.

　　We are willing and able to train candidates for this position. Regardless of experience we have a 4 week training period at the front desk and a 4 week training period in exam rooms. We provide cross training within the 2 departments to ensure we are setting our team members up for success and have a team that is able to assist our clients to the fullest. There are also opportunities to work in treatment and help our technician team from time to time.
