　　Position Summary:

　　ADM/ARTCo is seeking a Vessel Fleet Manager to manage fleet tow boats and barge fleet facilities at our American River Transportation Company (ARTCo) fleeting location in Waggaman, LA.Minimum Qualifications:

　　Industry experience, or education equivalent.

　　Management experience preferred

　　Working knowledge of Subchapter M and fleet boat operations.

　　Proficient in Microsoft applications

　　Job description:

　　Responsible for day to day operations of our fleet vessels; including but not limited to:

　　Daily vessel operations and maintenance

　　Manage vessel staffing, communicating areas of accountability and performance expectations; conducting employee evaluations and promotions, transfers and dismissals, and employee training

　　Other vessel crewing functions,

　　Payroll approval,

　　Vacation scheduling and approval,

　　Attendance and discipline management,

　　Oversee hiring process of deck crew and wheelman,

　　Responsible for the administration of the Towing Vessel Record program (HELM Connect), maintaining compliance of Subchapter M regulations, and implementation of our Towing Safety Management System across vessels.

　　Maintain vessels, barge fleets, and crews compliance with environmental, safety and other applicable USCG regulations

　　Incident and near miss management

　　Oversee and approve supply orders and budget management

　　Prepare vessels and crews and participate in audits and surveys, both internal and external

　　Maintain a consistent fleet presence and inspect vessels for:

　　upholding of safety policies

　　overall condition

　　TSMS applicability

　　Directly responsible for oversight of barge fleet maintenance, compliance, and overall operating condition.

　　Ability to build and maintain customer and vendor relationships.

　　Participate in industry meetings, seminars, and events
