　　The Holland America Summer Internship Program is a 10-week paid summer internship opportunity designed to provide exposure and insight to professional careers in the amazing leisure travel, cruise industry. The selected interns will work on departmental projects as well as participate in professional development and enrichment activities.

　　2024 Program Dates (two options)

　　Program runs 10 weeks from June 10th - August 16th or June 17th - August 23rd.Eligibility

　　Eligible candidates are enrolled in a four-year accredited undergraduate program (where they are at least a rising junior) and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

　　MUST NOT be a graduating senior in the summer 2024.

　　Compensation

　　Undergraduate - $25.00/hrIntern Project Details

　　This position is responsible for assisting Interior design team with design projects on the HAL and SBN fleet with a focus on sustainability. Tasks include talking with vendors, organizing samples, creating presentations and supporting designers as needed.

　　Liaise with vendors and key stake holders related to Sustainability pilot projects (ongoing and new)

　　Research sustainable solutions related to interior design specifications.

　　Create presentations

　　Organize resource library

　　Assist designers with ordering/returning samples

　　Assist designers with selecting products

　　Responsible for correlating information and recapping findings to design team

　　Responsible for engaging with vendors to keep projects moving forward

　　Provide creative solutions and design ideas

　　Requirements

　　Proficiency using MS office Suite including Outlook & MS Teams

　　Ability to work independently, remotely and self-manage

　　Well organized and able to communicate effectively with colleagues and managers.

　　The types of duties the students will perform will vary and may require some technical tasks, projects and/or work that may require specific proficiencies, technical abilities and/or computer skills.

　　Majors Preferred

　　Bachelor’s degree: rising Junior/Senior - Environmental studiesSkills Preferred

　　Adobe Creative Suite

　　Power Point or Smartsheet

　　Self-starter

　　Able to run with little direction
