Description

　　We are seeking a VDC Technician to facilitate the successful implementation of VDC (Virtual Design and Construction) technology and the related processes under the guidance of VDC Developers. This entry-level position in the VDC group involves creating models and providing technology-related support to Design, Operations, Construction, and Marketing teams. The VDC Technician plays a critical role in project success by using technology to execute processes for our design teams (architects and engineers) and subcontractors.

　　Collaborate with VDC developers for instructions and direction on project deliverables.

　　Compile 3D models depicting the plant or expansion designed by the Stellar Engineering staff. These models will include designs from various engineering disciplines.

　　The VDC Technician will be involved with specification review for system requirements, assist with generation of BIM reports, verify design dimensions in the field, and generate material takeoff.

　　The VDC Technician will participate in all activities related to the VDC development as directed by the VDC Developers, and should complete tasks to the company procedures, specifications, standards, and any project specific addenda.

　　Provide technical support to the project team, such as clash detection and layout coordination.

　　Prepare federated models for client model review, VR walkthrough, and construction planning.

　　Maintain good interface with designers, drafters, and production personnel from an array of design disciplines.

　　Requirements

　　Minimum of an Associates 2-year degree in drafting or related technical experience

　　Mid-level Revit or Plant 3D user with 2+ years of experience

　　Experience in CAD software

　　Knowledge of BIM preferred

　　Experience in site survey or similar project working experience preferred

　　Experience in industrial building design or similar project working experience preferred

　　Experience in Sketchup preferred
