Complete the assigned test grid without deviation from the given test steps.The Opportunity:Testing PC platform and sub-systems, triaging, and filing bugs.Taking ownership of bugs and following them to closure.Enabling new features on Platform and Linux OS.This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.What you need:Understanding of PC Platform and motherboard architecture.Knowledge of computer peripherals and motherboard components (PCIe, USB, USB-C, TBT, SATA, PCH, ICH, BIOS, UEFI, RAM, CPU, GPU).Strong experience with Linux RequiredMust have strong experience in validating and understanding 5G, 4G, Wifi, and Bluetooth technologies.Good understanding of different power states of systems and devices (ACPI - S-states, C-states, D-states)Good understanding of Driver and firmware and has experience deploying them on a system.Good understanding of various subsystems like Multimedia, communications, sensors, etc.Good understanding of Windows OS and its featuresAble to triage Platform/ ingredient/ OS issues.Understanding of bug life cycle and any bug management tool like Jira, HSD, VSO, etc.Able to lift 25 to 40 lbs of weight.Should be willing to work in Staggered Shifts/Weekends as required.Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. As required by local law, UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York, or Washington as set forth below.Role Location: WashingtonCompensation Range: $44,000-$66,000Our full-time, regular associates are eligible for 401K matching, and vacation accrual and are covered from day 1 for paid sick time, healthcare, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance benefits.
