About UX UI Design Intern - 2024 Summer Internship

  Healthfirst’s 2024 Summer Trailblazer Internship is a 10-week paid program beginning on June 3, 2024. This is an immersive and interactive learning experience, that lays a foundation for continued leadership development. Interns do impactful work, collaborating with other interns, employees, and business leaders to solve current business problems and deliver solutions.

  Who We Are:

  For nearly 30 years, Healthfirst has been serving New Yorkers. We helped pioneer the value-based healthcare model—where hospitals and physicians are paid based on patient outcomes—because our company was founded on the belief that insurers need to be true partners in the health system.

  Duties & Responsibilities:

  Operate with intellectual curiosity and critically assess existing processes and procedures to identify opportunities for improvement

  Hold oneself accountable for the accuracy, completeness, quality, and relevance of deliverables in order to own responsibility for work product

  Exhibit collaborative attitude, willingness to work with others on features that included working team(s) made of cross departmental/interdisciplinary users

  Additional duties as assigned

  Minimum Qualifications:

  Possess technical curiosity and the desire to learn new things quickly

  Ability to prioritize, multi-task and maintain attention to detail

  Ability to work in teams and build good working relationships

  Excellent interpersonal skills and follow- up skills

  Experience with object-oriented programming and ability to learn new programming languages

  Very strong verbal and written communication skills required

  Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  Familiarity with HTML/CSS/ JavaScript

  Basic understanding of PC and Mac platform UI guidelines

  Healthfirst Internship Program Requirements:

  Undergraduate students must be a junior or senior at an accredited institution or have graduated within 12 months of the program. Graduate students must be enrolled at an accredited institution or have graduated within 12 months of the program.

  Will not require sponsorship for employment

  Eligible to work in the U.S.

  Must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA from an accredited school

  Hiring Range*:

  Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $39,208 - $52,000

  All Other Locations (within approved locations): $34,091 - $49,920

  As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.

  In addition to your salary, Healthfirst offers employees a full range of benefits such as, medical, dental and vision coverage, incentive and recognition programs, life insurance, and 401k contributions (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Healthfirst believes in providing a competitive compensation and benefits package wherever its employees work and live.

  *The hiring range is defined as the lowest and highest salaries that Healthfirst in “good faith” would pay to a new hire, or for a job promotion, or transfer into this role.
