You could be the one who changes everything for our 28 million members as an Intern at Centene. During this 12-week program, you'll learn more about Centene and how we're transforming the health of the community, one person at a time.

　　Position Purpose:

　　This intern will partner with the Digital Experience & Engagement (DXE) team to plan, research, and facilitate design thinking / human centered design activities for service and products across digital and non-digital touchpoints. They will support user experience activities, including consultations and design sprints and apply human centric design principles and tools to clarify problems, create shared alignment and appropriate solutions that have the human experience at the forefront.

　　As an intern, you will help lead projects that help shape the future of Centene. This is an exciting opportunity to have a true impact on the company by designing and implementing solutions for real challenges facing the business. Here’s what we’re looking for:

　　Primary Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

　　Design UI mockups and prototypes using Figma that clearly illustrate how site functions and looks.

　　Find creative ways to solve User Experience problems (e.g. usability, findability)

　　Participate in weekly design meetings & peer reviews.

　　Work cross-functionally with product design, product management, content design, and engineering.

　　Work with design leads to create compelling interactive experiences.

　　Identify best method or mix of quantitative and qualitative methods based on priorities, research questions, timeline, and resourcing.

　　Work closely with product teams, as well as other researchers, to identify important research questions. Define and execute a comprehensive research plan.

　　Gather feedback from internal and external stakeholders.

　　Proficient in Figma and an eagerness to learn new tools.

　　Firm grasp of design fundamentals demonstrated by a strong portfolio.

　　Meticulous attention to detail and a keen eye for typography and visual hierarchy

　　Clear and effective communication skills in articulating design concepts and rationales

　　Positive attitude with a desire to grow within a collaborative, inspiring teamwork environment.

　　Ability to identify basic problems and procedural irregularities, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

　　Experience/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university or college, preferably in Computer Science, Digital Arts, Technology, or a field related to the hiring department through the internship period. Classwork and projects related to UX/Human Centered Design would be preferred.
