L3Harris is seeking to hire a Senior Software Engineer, with a focus on Digital Signal Processing, who will be responsible for developing software applications and lead and/or participate in the entire software development life cycle. The candidate requires to have a good knowledge base of engineering principles, theories and techniques and a passion for relevant new technologies.
Essential Functions:
Lead and/or participate in the entire software development life cycle including software design, implementation, code reviews, integration and debugging for new products and existing ones.
Drive continuous iterative agile like software planning and development.
Collaborate with systems engineers to ensure design and implementation meet customer requirements.
Utilize software engineering principles, processes, and industry best practices with the ability to apply them in daily work. Read, analyze and interpret requirements and common government specifications.
Interact with Systems, software, program management on specifications/requirements weekly.
Ensure that products/projects delivered meet customer requirements and specifications.
Drive process improvements to aid in team coordination and maintain delivery schedule.
Communicate with leadership on status, issues, milestones, and successes.
Keeping abreast of current technology; conducting technology knowledge shares
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience in a STEM function.
Applicable experience includes the following:
6+ years of experience with C/C++ or similar high-level language on Unix/Linux.
6+ years of experience working in Linux.
4+ years of experience with Python, CUDA, and/or Bash scripting.
Scientific programming with C, C++, or similar high-level language on Unix/Linux.
Background in DSP or communications theory.
Experience with and understanding of Software Defined Radios (SDRs), X-Midas, and/or MATLAB.
Top Secret or TS/SCI security clearance.
Preferred/Desired Additional Skills:
Satcom fundamentals and ground-based satcom programming experience.
Experience with Innovative Computer Engineering (ICE) hardware and related software development.
Satellite communications.
Cellular communications systems.
Modern wireless protocols.
Radio Frequency (RF) system design.
Radio Frequency (RF) hardware experience.
Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, Frequency Converters, etc.
Electronic Warfare.
Modern modulation schemes.
Algorithm development.
Signal geolocation.
Signal conditioning.
Interference canceling.
Coding theory and techniques.
Data analysis.
Linux systems administration.
Linux kickstart.
DevOps CI/CD experience.
In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role in Colorado is $112,500 - $209,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
