This position is for Pittsburgh Public School high school students interested in the UPMC Junior Scholars Program as part of their career and technical education program academic requirement.

　　UPMC Presbyterian and UPMC Shadyside hospitals are excited to launch a UPMC Junior Scholars Program! This program is designed specifically for high school students to gain exposure and experience inside the hospital which will enhance the patient experience and strengthen teamwork.

　　Work tasks will include:

　　Greeting and escorting patients and visitors

　　Distributing supplies

　　Meal delivery

　　Environmental maintenance

　　Equipment management

　　Administrative support

　　This is a transformational position with exposure to many different areas within the hospital; no day will be the same!

　　This role will run from March to June 2024, 2-3 days per week as part of the high school career and technical education program.

　　Must have the desire, drive, and compassion needed to provide an exceptional patient and family experience at all times.

　　Active High School/GED program enrollment.

　　Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
