University Events Director (Potsdam, NY)
Position Summary Guidelines: Provide vision, solicit input, initiate, plan, direct/coordinate and execute the set-up of high-quality University-wide ceremonies and student recruitment events in close coordination with the Offices of the President, Marketing & External Relations, and Undergraduate Admissions. Collaborate extensively with faculty and staff providing academic and educational content consistent with the University mission and goals as well as communicating and implementing logistical needs across multiple departments and external vendors to facilitate successful events to meet standards and needs. This position will be required to reserve appropriate event spaces, ensure patron safety, and procure the required reports needed for documentation or required announcements pertaining to the events. This position will also need to be available and able to execute the events on various assigned weekends throughout the year independently with overnight travel to the Capital Region Campus in Albany, NY, as needed.Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree, with 3 to 5 years professional experience. Candidate will have had two or more years working in a public facing position serving a wide array of people from different backgrounds and ages in a professional setting.
