　　Hours: Average 18.66 hours per week (17:00-2:00)

　　Shifts: 7 on, 14 off rolling rota (inc. bank holidays and weekends)

　　The Wicstun Veterinary Group are expanding their night team and we are on the lookout for Twilight Patient Care Assistant at our fantastic hospital in Market Weighton.

　　The role would suit an enthusiastic and motivated individual who has a keen interest in working with animals.

　　Roles and Responsibilities

　　As a Patient Care Assistant, you will be always supported by an experienced RVN and additional Patient Care Assistant.

　　This position is a vital role for the smooth running of our hospital and ensuring the very best care is provided to our patients.

　　You will work with both the day and night teams to provide continuity of care to all in patients.

　　Duties will include (but not limited to):

　　Animal Handling (small amount, full training given and with supervision of RVN)

　　Demonstrate the ability toprovidea highstandardof hospital hygiene, to include cleaning and disinfectionin all areas.

　　Clean, pack and sterilisesurgicalinstruments andsterile supplies.

　　Assistwith stock management.

　　Assistwith reception and client care to include greeting clients, answering the telephone, takingpaymentsand scheduling appointments.

　　Our team of experienced vets provide a 24-hour emergency service for our registered clients, small holders, equine and farm yards.

　　Our Market Weighton branch is fully equipped with modern diagnostic facilities such as an extensive in-house laboratory, a digital x-ray suite and endoscopy which allows us to care for your pets using up to date, non-invasive techniques. We also have 3 theatres, a CT scanner, space for laparoscopic procedures, a rehabilitation suite which includes a treadmill for hydrotherapy, ICU and both cat and dog wards.
