Summary This employee works under the supervision of the Member Services Supervisor and works directly with Social Workers, Health Care Providers, Medical Administration support staff, and Veterans. Responsibilities Duties include, but are not limited to: Determine eligibility of applicants for travel pay. Manages bills of collection for beneficiary travel over payments. Determine administrative eligibility for special transportation, ensures medical need criteria is met. Performs research and creates bills of collection for beneficiary travel over payments. Manage inquires regarding travel pay, special transportation and related beneficiary travel unit procedures. Receives requests from patients for lodging accommodations for veterans coming outpatient appointments or admissions. Maintains beneficiary travel fund control points. Maintains administrative accounting and statistical reports. Maintains and stores computer data based on VA filing system.
