(22) Truck Drivers: Temporary, Full Time. Min 40 hrs/week, Monday to Friday 6:00am to 2:00pm variable. Min $27.94/hr. Some overtime hrs may be available at $41.91/hr. OT applies after 40 hours per work week. On State funded projects in Minnesota, OT is applied after 8 hours per day. Employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Employer provides optional free of charge housing and transportation to worksites. Employer will make all deductions from worker's paycheck required by law. Wages will be paid weekly. Employment period April 1, 2024 to Nov 15, 2024. Work will start in Douglas County, MN; deliver loads to multiple locations in Minnesota, South Dakota and North Dakota. Drive a tractor-trailer combination or a truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) transporting equipment and/or construction materials (asphalt, aggregate, millings, etc) from the gravel pit to the job site. May be required to load or unload truck. Requires commercial drivers' license or ability to obtain once hired; Minimum 12 months Truck Driver experience. No education requirements, no OJT needed. If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.46 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees). The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.
