We are seeking aTruck Dispatcher for our customer, County Materials in Milwaukee, WI.Military service members and veterans are encouraged to apply. JobDuties: Plan and organize loads within region to dispatch trucks to meetcustomer requests and production team activities. Communicates withcustomers to determine driver demand and driving schedules. Notifiesdrivers of assignments and enters assignment data into a computerdatabase. Prepare delivery tickets for drivers and respond to inquiriesfrom drivers. Utilize multi-line phones, two-way radios, and computersoftware for data entry and route coordination. Performs administrativeduties. Work Environment: Indoor office environment. PhysicalRequirements: Frequent Sitting. Experience & Qualifications: High Schooldiploma or equivalent. 2-4 years of experience in coordinating truckdispatch operations. Adequate combination of education/serviceyears/experience will be considered for the right candidate. Familiarwith commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within thetrucking industry. Relies on experience and judgment to plan andaccomplish goals. Assertive, self-motivated and positive attitude.Attention to detail while performing a variety of tasks is a must. Awide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Excellentcommunication, organizational and time management skills. Customerservice oriented. Intermediate level in MS Office: Outlook, Excel andWord.
